The first award of the Bowyers' prizes for History 4th December 2008

The first award of the Bowyers' prizes for History was presented at 5pm on the 4th December 2008 in the Seminar Room located in the History Department at King's College London. The event was hosted by Professor R Trainor.

The Graduate Academic Prize was awarded to Stephen Timbrell for his dissertation on'The Political Opponents of Conscription in Britain during the First World War'.

The Undergraduate Academic Prize was awarded to Celia Anthony for her dissertation on 'Constance Markievicz and Irish Nationalism, 1908-1916'.
