Longbow Day at Burnham, Sunday 26 July 2015

Sunday 26 July saw rather rainy weather for the Bowyers' Longbow Day at the Royal Toxophilite Society' Archery Lodge in Burnham, but it didn't dampen the spirits of the archers at all, or prevent them havng a most convivial day. At the end of the day the Master Bower, the Reverend John Hayton, presented the Bowyers' Past Masters' trophies to the gentlemen's and ladies' competition winners, under the watchful eye of the Royal Tox's Field Captain, Freddie Fairfield, and supported by Past Master Peter Seaton, Upper Warden Tony Kench and Liveryman Ian Campbell. It was also a great pleasure, as ever, to meet once again Bowyer Freeman Hugh Soar, who always likes to come out for Longbow Day.
