New Liverymen Allen and Heilpern
At the Company Court Meeting in Coopers' Hall on 12 April, two Bowyer Freemen were welcomed into the Livery of the Company: Captain Patrick Allen RN and Mr Nigel Heilpern. Following the subsequent Court Dinner in Coopers' Hall, both are pictured here enjoying a nightcap pint with the Master in Devonshire Row.
We got to know Paddy when he commanded the Company's affiliated ship, HMS Northumberland, in 2009-10. Now Captain Allen, he has an MA in Defence Studies, and is appointed to the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall. Nigel is a partner at global law firm King & Spalding, where he heads their London real estate practice. He shares with the Master an education in Classics.
