Practice Shoot at Kensington Palace

On a perfect early-summer evening on Wednesday 22nd May, ten Bowyers joined the London Archers for one of their regular practice sessions at Perk’s Field within the grounds of Kensington Palace. This was an opportunity for members to shoot with the three new Company longbows made by Richard Head and, with coaching from the experts, many were achieving close groupings by the end of the session. The timing of the event is entirely unrelated to the forthcoming Joint Shoot with the Fletchers at the Tower of London on 25th June. As the shadows grew longer and the light began to fade, the group retired to an Italian Restaurant, De Amicis on Notting Hill Gate, for a very pleasant supper.

Many thanks to Liveryman Oliver Bolton who made the arrangements with the London Archers and to IPM Tony Kench for booking the restaurant.
