Presentation of the Gold Certificate to Mr Alan
Pritchard by Mr R Model (Master Bowyer).

The Bowyers Company presents Gold Silver and Bronze awards for craftsmanship in Bowery. The presentations are made on the recommendation of the Court of the Craft Guild of Traditional Bowyers and Fletchers.

The first presentations of Silver and Bronze awards were made at Meriden on the 19th July 2003

The Gold award is rarely presented and is reserved for individuals who have with the agreement of the Guildmote and with the Endorsement of the Master, Wardens and Court of the Worshipful Company of Bowyers made a substantial long term contribution to the 'mistery' of bowery.

The first Gold Award was made to Mr George Thorley at Burton Constable Hall on the 16th November 2004.
