32nd Longbow Competition
On a typical summers day for this year with showers, thunder, lightening and moments of sunshine this years annual competition for the Bowyers Challenge Trophies took place at the Royal Toxophilite Societiy's ground at Burnham in Buckinghamshire on Sunday 29th July.
Nine members from the Company came along to observe the well organised event under the watchful eye of Field Captain, Freddie Fairfield and afterwards enjoy tea with the President of the Society, Ray Gallop.
Later the Master presented the prizes to the winners of the Bowyer's awards before all headed home trying to miss the traffic from the second day of the Olympic Rowing competition being held close by at Eton.
