Bowyers' Charity Cheque for Suited & Booted
The Bowyers' Company is delighted to be a supporter of the City-based charity Suited & Booted Centre Ltd, which kits out 1,000-1,500 job seekers each year with donated business attire, and sends them out for their interviews looking smart and feeling full of confidence, and achieving a high success rate.
Our 2022 cheque for £3,000 was handed over on 28 November to S&B's Principal, Dr Maria Lenn, by our Charity Committee Chairman, IPM David Laxton, supported by Past Master Tony Kench and Court Assistant Lt Col Richard Martin(who took the photo).
The little ceremony took place at S&B's temporary base at 52 Cornhill, prior to their next move to a more permanent base in the new year. We continue to wish Suited & Booted every success with their highly commendable and successful charitable work.
