Bowyers regain Suited & Booted Charity Quiz Trophy
Twice a year for several years now, Suited & Booted’s Mike Thomas of the Actuaries’ Company has been organising, devising and hosting a Charity Quiz Night, latterly at the Steam Bar near Monument, always a delightful evening. The Bowyers have entered all of them, winning it five times between 2019 and 2023. The opposition, however, mainly the Actuaries but also some new entrants, have been gaining strength and the contests have been getting much more intense. The most recent Quiz was at the Steam Bar on Tuesday April 8th 2025, and fortunately the Bowyers team managed to prevail this time, getting back to winning ways by a single point, 84 to 83 over our old foes the Actuaries. The happy Bowyers team members are pictured: Myles Archibald, Rupert Holmes, William Mills, Mark Benstead and team leader Tony Kench, with our sixth winning trophy.
