Charity Cheque for Suited & Booted
On Mon 27 Feb the Master and Lt Col Richard Martin, representing the Bowyers' Charity Committee, were pleased to present a £1,000 cheque to Maria Lenn, the Principal of the Suited & Booted Centre, currently in London Wall. The Suited & Booted Centre accepts donated business suits, shirts, ties and shoes, and uses them to fit out those seeking to get themselves into employment, offering them interview coaching as well; in the past year Suited & Booted fitted out 1,360 clients. The charity has volunteer staff but is dependent on donations to cover its premises and operating costs.
